NOE K31 silhouette in Rem700

Having some fun today with the old 700... don't really shoot it much, but decided to try it with the k31 silhouette sized .309 and greased with 50/50 Glen's black. Cal is 30-06, and really really happy with the results. Test target at 25, showed them touching... made a small adjustment to center up the group... and now hitting steel out to 200. That flat nose really smacks the steel!!!

Shooting steel targets is quite addictive, there is something appealing about the instant gratification of the resounding clang of the impact.

The only other bullet I've used in this is the rcbs 30-180 fn... and it works fairly well... anything else I should look at for silhouette shooting??

I love the .30-06 and cast. So far, haven't found anything that beats the good old 311284 for accuracy.

nope, the only other one to try is the RCBS daddy to that one.
it ain't gonna do nuthin more or less than the softened up version.
