Patiently Waiting Sorta

I hate when I order stuff right before a holiday and everything is in processing or transit limbo till the following week. I have a new mold from NOE, a new color powder coat from Eastwood and some brass for my 30-06 thats in transit or hasn't left the building yet. I've probably checked every order link five times a day to see if there is any progress, don't know why I think anything is going to change till Monday.

...or the stuff is in the post office, you are on a holiday trip- and hope they don’t return the stuff before you can get it :)

had no choice for a long time there with my 21 and 5 schedule.
either she got it or I didn't stand a chance at ever getting it.
figured 50-50 was better than nuthin.

Worse is when you know it is waiting at home and you are at work.
I only have to think about that for about an hour or so as I'm on the end of the line for the mail carrier and I don't get my mail drop till around 4PM. I'm home by 5:30.

As far as the wife I have a good one, she has always supported my casting and reloading hobby and wants me to get some enjoyments out of my free time after a hard week at work. Taking her out to eat a couple times a month and not forgetting her birthday and our anniversary probably helps to.

she has no problem getting stuff.
it's getting the ditzy broad to remember to go get it that's the issue.

I just yesterday received the 2nd half of my annual-renewal CCW, the HR 218 card that allows for out-of-state carry. The Admin Office said on 6-27 (when I renewed the 5-year primary ID card) that the Academy put the HR 218 card in the mail that morning.

Of course they did. Postmark date was 7-1, it arrived on 7-5 from 27 miles away. It DID arrive, that is the important thing. Lots of cracks between those places and my house where the docs could have fallen through. They didn't, in spite of my agency's and USPO's contrivances.

Fiver, every woman on earth has some ditziness to them in some venue. I think it is a product characteristic of the species. I invite the readers to try living with 7 of them at once--as I have done. After 3, it is all a blur. LOTS of moving parts. I now know why the nobility in the Old Days sent their daughters off to Dominican boarding schools at age 12 and kept them there until 17 or 18. (J/K) After a life spent herding my cadre of Amazons, taking on a Colt revolver's V-spring internals is child's play. I think the best management method is to love them with abandon, spoil them rotten, and hope for the best.

Just got a couple updates via email. My Eastwood Silver Vein PC is out for delivery today, brass is scheduled for delivery on Monday, mold is still processing but Al usually gets my order here in 3 days once it ships so keeping my finger crossed for Thursday or Friday.

I really like the looks and the coverage I get from the silver vein PC.
I'm going to have to cast up some bullets before I can even try it out. Not going to sit over the hot pot today as it's already 95 degrees and 75% humidity.

Ever look at the copper vein color Ronnie? It looks pretty cool too.
Sure have, been using it for about 6 months on various bullets in rifles and handguns. It's a bit of a pain to get good coverage but a little extra gentle shaking seem to help.

I have the Eastwood poppin silver vein in hand now. Next.....enough capability hauling around
stuff to move my toaster oven to where it needs to be, cut out, bend up edges and wire on a 1/4"
hardware cloth basket to the toaster oven rack. Try some shaking to apply, then cook, with my
PID controlling the temp to 400F.
It might be a bit.

I used to be able to keep the wife in the dark about what I was accumulating. Then my daughter moved to just north of Powder Valley inc. and I started ordering from them and let her pick it up to save shipping and haz mat charges. The wife is always ready to go see the grandkids so it's really not like an extra trip. Now the UPS driver has started dropping off my packages at my other daughters store in town instead of bringing them out here to the country. Can't sneak anything through!
