I seen they could have a semi-sorta type vaccine in about 6 weeks, but a 'real' shot in a year or so.
the whole thing is ridiculous.

That drug is already FDA approved, for malaria with no harmful side effects. The other tests with HIV drugs are a bust apparently. Swiss test kits have been given emergency OK as providing best true results.

Link didn’t work for me but I assume it is about hydroxychloroquine. Brand name Plaquenil.
Used by older docs for RA.

Already in short supply due to increased demand for a low usage drug. The fact those who were already on it and now won’t be able to get it is a shame.

That's the one Brad, and some even say Chloroquine (possibly the same). Here's a quote by the researcher:
3/18/20
“As of this morning…a well-controlled peer reviewed study carried out by the most eminent infectious disease specialist in the world—Didier Raoult, MD, PhD—out of the south of France, in which he enrolled 40 patients…that showed a 100 percent cure rate against coronavirus,"

Deportation & exile could have prevented it getting here. No, instead we ship it here on purpose. Now we are guna finish bankrupting the already bankrupt country. Let's seal the deal & rush through some drug cocktails to try on everyone. I'm done & to tired to deal with least of all evils choices anymore.

I have some theories on the subject but I'd go so far down the political gamesmanship hole I'd have to ban myself for knowing better than to go there.

Since the Drug was first made in 1934, it's a oldie but goody, it's cost per dose is approx 4 cents virtually around the world except in the USA; $5.40/dose. Obviously there isn't any R & D that has to be paid, so what the h*ll?

The other treatment they are not talking about at all is 5-6 sessions of 30 minutes in a hot dry sauna. The virus dies at 130*. Stay in for 30 min. out to cool down for an hour then right back in. Most saunas operate at much higher than 130* It has already been proven to work with a bunch of other virus and colds to kill them where they breed in your nasal passageways.

Now is NOT the time for caution and timidity in testing counter-measures against corona-virus. %$^ @#!& FDA can't get out of its own way most of the time.

“(This) ensure(s) that commerce between Mexico and the United States is not affected to a greater extent than we are already experiencing,” he explained. “This decision, which I am communicating to you and the U.S., is also set to announce in a few hours, will not affect commercial and productive activity, or employment, between the two countries.”
So tourist travel to Mexico is prevented but normal for all the import workers?
Sounds about right. Sillyness.

When I went through the CBR (chemical, biological, radiological,) school at FT Hood in 1972 the "instructors" let us know that our nation was well prepared to combat and respond in devastating ways any attack that was made against our nation.
I tend to believe that our military is still able to make another political entity suffer awful things if need be.

The RA drug is somewhat restricted as it can cause some bad side effects with LONG term usage. The quinine works on malaria by giving the 'bad' stuff a case of constipation, thus killing it. It works differently for this virus. I was in Dallas hosp for 5 days during the ebola thing. Hosp. staff had the same complaints as now, and much $$ were given to 'fix' the problem. Right! It's all about $$.
