I can't afford it now, but I'd love to try out an A2 someday. Such a legendary press and regarded by so many as the best single stage ever. Kind of wonder why RCBS stopped production.

Sorry for the thread highjack. Best of luck finding that a good home.

That baby needs some TLC, but it's strong as an Ox. Will it accept inserts or is it a top hole of 7/8 x?

This is the second model A2, introduced in 1967. The upper frame is redesigned from the earlier A series presses and the frame is made of cast iron.
This press was followed by the A3 that lasted just one year before RCBS realized that the Rockchucker would do everything the A presses do and was less costly to build and smaller to reduce shipping costs.
All of the A series presses are excellent and fun to use. My favorite is the 2A.
