Read, think, and do [First and Last, THEN the Second] Reciprocating saw blades for Honeysuckle

About a month ago, I was purging a 4" plus Buckthorn, and the ZETSAW R-210 Pruning blade snapped off in front of the holder of my 20v reciprocating saw... Bummer, said Pooh... Anyways, the R-210 is NOT listed for 14.4v saws and above... It hung in there through some tough cuts, but it's only 0.9mm thick.

The ZETSAW model rated for 14.4v and up is the FINE WOOD & PRUNING R-300 that is 1.2mm thick.

※Designed for over 14.4V
Blade Length : 300mm
Pitch : 3.50mm (7TPI)
Thickness : 1.20mm

The Milwaukee AXE blade is 3TPI and has huge gullets which catch on small Honeysuckle, but once it gets going, it rips anything apart [but it leaves a "fuzzy" edge]. The Japanese toothed blades don't have those big gullets, don't catch on small shoots, and you can even start cutting a Honeysuckle next to the ground without needing the shoe to be in contact. The Japanese blades leave a clean cut which IMHO gives a better chance for consistent herbicide application [cut stump 'n paint].

It's dangerous as heck, but I put a common 7.25" carbide circle-saw blade on my straight shaft weedwacker, just like this fellow has.
It cuts the little stuff quickly and yet will cut the larger buckthorn and prickly ash also...SMOOTH cuts :)

Problem with wide scale clearing of Honeysuckle is when you miss painting one of them. Now the overgrowth is gone, plenty of sun, just what young Honeysuckle need. I haven't found any resprouted HS yet from last year, cut n paint w/ 25% Glyphosate kills 'em daid.

Good to know.

I've had good service from this blade, I bought many years ago at Home Depot. One package still has the price tag of $4.28.
I have three blades and never broke one. I don't own a chain saw and use a reciprocating saw, instead. I've cut logs as thick as 6" in diameter. Just the other day, I cut down a 4" cedar that was growing inches a way, from a mature oak. Took care of with with no problem. Cedars have a nasty habit of that, on my acreage, choking out the oaks.
