Remington RB/43 Spanish brass trick

I have an Argentine Remington RB in 43 Spanish, and had another one. Bras has to be made from 348 Winchester. I bought some 348 converted to 44-77 (nearly the same as 43 Spanish) made from 348 from TOTW. They stamp the rim to make it .090"thick too (348 is not). Worked great.

Many make 43 from 348 themselves, and I got a small batch of estate brass that had been lathe turned, but would still not fit my 43 even after sizing (my current RB has a very tight chamber). My buddy/guy who got me into the RBs/43 Spanish, gave me a couple pointers. Take the brass, size it, lube it well and try to tap it into the chamber/'chamber size' it. If it is just too tight, go back to the lathe and remove ever so little brass and retry til it will fit. Once you shoot it once, it is fire-formed. Saved me/gave me 29 more pieces of 43 brass, and at nearly $4/piece, that is a nice Christmas present. Now 29 pieces thru the lathe...
