Revolver throats and jacketed bullets

I have some Hornady jacketed .312 bullets on hand. Bought the long ago for my 32-20.
Looking to load some for my SSM in 32 H&R.

Revolver has .311 throats but these bullets are .312.

How much does this increase pressure?

maybe 400 psi.

I shoot 310 and 311 jacketed in many of my 30 cal rifles using the same data as 308 bullets.
and 312's will fit in my 30 carbine revolver if I use 32-20 cases, they shoot quite nice.

If you have a .311 push-through sizer, you could also lube the bullets with some case lube, and size them.

firing .303 British 180-grain softpoint factory load down a .308 groove diameter barrel is about +3500 psi above the SAAMI reference.

I will be pushing them thru what is essentially a sizer at 15000 psi

What would be the harm in passing them through a sizing die?

You're only .001" away ?

Due to spring-back in the gilding metal jacket you will have to force the bullets through a die about 0.002" smaller to get the bullet 0.001" smaller afterwards, and after doing so the lead core will be loose in the jacket for while the jacket has memory and springs back, the lead core does not.

May shoot "ok" but in rifle bullets it will take a sub-half-moa benchrest target bullet and turn it into ordinary 2 moa plinking ammo.

They shot just fine. Nothing special. Did get a box of jacketed off my shelf.
Might try loading some a bit warmer next time. Will admit I really do like the low recoil this revolver gives.
