Ruger 30/06 stainless calling my name

I don't need another '06 but that has never stopped me before. I found a stainless m-77 30/06 with the boat paddle stock for $500. It has Tasco "World Class" 3x9 silver scope (it really says world class and it is very clear. I may have to bring it home with me.

I have a friend with the same rifle but in a butter-nut laminate stock.

A fine rifle.

I can't vouch for the rifle but I have about 1000-1500 rounds of 06' under a sister scope . It will fog if you haul it out of a 75° camper into a 17° truck but it's 23 yrs old and been hunted and shot from 7-105° in a setting that just doesn't treat flexible seals well .

Sounds like fun.Maybe a new scope,I'd snag a straight 6....and possibly a Luepold,post reticle from their shop.


There was a difference in price points somewhere in the Tasco timeline.Then,the world class moniker started getting used on or across the board."Early" world class models are decent,and go for $ on fleabay.Good luck with your decision.BW
