You want to demolish something - They're great
You want to assemble something- eh, there's usually a better tool.

Chop saws, sliding chop saws, sawzall, skill saws from 4" to 16", can't imagine life without them.

Do not know about the clones but....What is nice about real Sawzall is that it has a variable speed trigger so you can cut slower to minimize dust, or adjust for material .The way it is designed it pretty much drops the junk straight down anyway.

Since the advent of scrap yards like "Pull Apart" and" You Pull It". Where they rotate the cars regularly. They only care about you paying for what you walk out the gate with, and not at all about destroying other good parts to get to it. A Harbor freight Battery operated one is looking pretty tempting.
