Shipping problem

Been looking for new foam covers for my ear muffs.
Peltor has sanitary kits for my style muffs.
2 foam covers and 2 black ear protectors $53.00 plus $12.00 shipping.
Total $65.00. New ear muffs only cost $63.00 and have free shipping from Grafs.
You would think they would make the sanitary kits for very little but not the case.
So Peltor just lost a customer.

It was once common practice to replace the handles of tools when you broke a handle. When I was a kid, if you broke the handle on a tool, it was your job to fit a new handle. This resulted in learning two skills: You got very good at replacing handles and , you got better at not breaking handles in the first place (generally you learned those skills in that order).
There came a point when it was cheaper to buy an entire new shovel than it was to buy a shovel handle. Now, I gladly accepted this concept because it was easier to buy a new shovel than to buy a handle and fit it to the old shovel head. My father couldn't understand how this was possible but he also refused to pay more for a handle than an entire new shovel.

He would mutter and complain. I got over it pretty quick and happily moved on.
