Every once in awhile I have to blow the cobwebs out of the bore of some of my Milsurps. After seeing a M38 Mosin in Cabelas earlier this week for pushing 500.00, I decided to shoot my 82.00 M-38. At 50 yds It shot a nice 5 shot group of 1.725", with 4 of the 5 going into 1.25, with a 202gr. bullet with Al GC, sized .314, over 11 gr of Unique. I was pleased with that.

The P14, 303 Brit did well, but not quite so well as the 38. Shot the 167 311241 sized .314 over 7.5 gr of Unique. Think it may have been a mite fast, as the best I could do with it was right at 3". May have to try it with a different powder. These were lubed wit BLL only.

Regardless, it is fun to get some trigger time with old War Horse rifles. The P14 is over 100 yrs old, and the M-38, made in 42 is almost as old as me. If I can have my milsurps, as issue, in the 4MOA, I am pretty much a happy camper.
