Shotlock wall mount lock

Does anyone have experience with the "Shotlock" brand of wall mounted gun locks?
A friend was looking for options to secure a shotgun and I suggested a between the studs wall safe but he wanted lock that mounted to the surface of the wall.

I don't have any experience with the brand but it does utilize a simplex mechanical lock (push button, mechanical) which I like.

It looks like it would need some type of muzzle bracket to prevent the gun being used as a lever to rip the whole unit off the wall.

Looked at these when we were required to lock up all the guns in our houses. First make sure the gun will fit in the one you want to buy. Second four screws are not going to hold it to sheetrock. You will have to build something behind it or the lock and gun will both come off the wall.

Yeah, the screws seem like the weak link to me. Even if you screw it to a stud, there's a lot leverage available to pull the whole unit off the wall.

I am not familiar with Shotlock but I am familiar with the shotgun racks in a squad car. Turns out they can be bought, at auction, from different municipalities. My brother got a couple. After a couple of false starts he figured a way to mount and power them. Now, his shotgun is retrievable at the push of a button.
