My Dad had a Marlin in 17 HMR . It was fun and quite accurate it did however seem to be extremely touchy about grip force .

I had a 17 HMR for a couple years. The ammo and rifle was accurate, but the tiny bullets are wind-sensitive as ^%*$. It went down the road, and the 223s and 22-250s still live here.

I’ve only shot one .17 WSM rifle.
It wasn’t as accurate as any .17 HMR that I’ve shot.(Marlin and Savage)
The HMR is amazing on crows in the pecan bottom.
