The purchase of Thompson Center

If he's finally going to talk about GUNS, I'll watch this video, but I can't take another campaign ad about how wonderful he is.

I'd never heard of the guy until the first video came out about TC coming back and I'm already tired of him.

No, I'm not just in a bad mood. This is just getting old already.

He used to be featured in hunting videos on cable TV....until he got busted for poaching. I don't know how his case turned out, something about hunting as a resident because he owned the out of state property. Some said it was a set up, some branded him a poacher. I never did hear the outcome of the case.

I for one welcome TC back if they will return to anything like they used to be before the fire. My Contender, My Scout and Omega black powder inlines are absolutely first rate. Their customer service was terrific too. I wish him well and TC well.

I am interested in TC returning as well and would not have watched the first three videos otherwise.

Maybe I'm misjudging the guy, but all I've seen so far is what appears to be less about TC and TC products/services than about the guy who just bought TC. Just makes me wonder IF TC is really coming back and what it will be if it does.

I just watched this latest video that CW posted, nothing much said about Gregg in this one ...he didn't even mention his name, LOL. I think it's worth the watch, it's only 13 min and is mostly a tour of the S&W facility that has all the TC stuff that is headed back to NH ...it's a walk-n-talk and a little show-n-tell of TC products (and tooling) of the past...they also look at some parts/barrels inventory. Now he doesn't talk about the resurrection of the MLs and accessories, but he mentions their past success which is kind of a hint toward the future?

In 2000, the company I was printing working for was bought out by Quedacor. They or the company started by retiring anyone close.
Then it got ugly. Anyone older but not hi paied, was let go then higher paid managers. (Myself) So there I was three years married, new house year before and no job. So my T/C collection was sold off.
I have wanted a few back. Wanting a 14" 7/30, 22 Match 21" are top searches...

I just secured a barrel I have been wanting to replace. A 21" 22 LR Match barrel.
I had one for a few years and loved it. It was sold off in 2000 with a bunch that I sold at that time.
I hope ta have it in hand soon.
I have a good mount just need to decide on a optic.
Im hoping to get in squirrel woods this season. I have wanted to for a while but have only gone once or three times in last ten years. This will
Make a good rifle for that.

...So my T/C collection was sold off...

I'm really hoping this guy comes through.

It seems to me that the Encore has a strong following and could gain more among "today's new shooters" if marketed well.

I'd LOVE to see the G2 come back, but TC (under whichever owner) killed it off once, thinking, I suppose, that the Encore would be good enough for everyone's needs.

Somehow, someone was able to extricate a head (or heads) from their opposite-pole-orifice(s) and they brought the G2 back again.

For a while.

Farther back in history, the G2 replaced the Contender for some reason, so I suspect that the G2 would be the one they bring back, and not the original. There's room for the G2 AND the original, I believe.

I'm not sure SSK, Haus of Arms (or I) have reason to worry, because the SSK50 is a clone of the ORIGINAL Contender, not the G2.

There seems to be enough of a market to support BOTH, so I really, really hope the G2 comes back.

I'm fairly certain the Encore will - I mean, it just seems to make sense.

What else they'll bring back, I have no idea, but I'd sure like to see the traditional MLs come back, but I don't hold much hope there. Ive always though a Seneca in a 36 or 40 caliber would be a jewel of a squirrel gun and just plain fun to carry around the woods and shoot.
