The Skinny on Gas Checks - Al. vs Copper

If there is a difference in vol, it is in all probability slight. As there is no such thing in my opinion as a PERFECT load where a chrono
would show exact numbers for each shot, to quote Rhet Butlet, "frankly I don't give a damn Scarlet". I see slight variances in vol and
probably in accuracy to not be worth the time or effort to consider.

I got some in 7mm also I don't have anything to put them on at the moment but I get that fixed pretty quick.

They look good .

If " hard times " come soon, you can bet Old Ben will still be making and shooting his Al gas checks.

That group you've just shown will put meat on the table here in Alabama !

The aluminum checks I've tried wouldn't stay on during tumble lube. Glad they work for some.

Great target Quick! Wish my old eyes, and less than steady body were near as
capable as you with receiver sights.

I didn't make them. Didn't buy the tools as I've tried them from several folks including some homemade from a local friend and haven't ever had success. Same goes for homemade copper. Don't have anything against them just couldn't get them to work for me.

I use Hornady checks exclusively but, they are pricey.
