This morning I was going to dedicate to making my Dry tumbler. I was going to use a BBQ rotisserie I had gotten from the secondhand store for 2 bucks unused and a 5 gallon bucket.
I made the motor mount of parts from an old computer tower. Aligned and made the connection for the plastic pail. Mounted everything to an old wooden box with roller bearings for the pail to spin on.
I decided to run everything to see what had to be changed. I plugged the motor in and all I got was a grinding sound. I pulled the motor apart and sure enough. It was new. And the gears were not assembled correctly. So nothing meshed or worked
At least I have all of the components put together when I find a new power source. Secondhand store here I come. Kevin
