Lol! I just read this to my wife and she nodded emphatically and muttered something about me being a freak.

112 today in the shade on our back patio. Don't remember ever seeing it that hot here (near the L.A./Ventura County line).

Today . . .
  • Burbank Airport, 114 degrees;
  • Van Nuys Airport, 117 degrees;
  • Ramona, 117 degrees;
  • Santa Ana, 114 degrees;
  • Riverside,118 degrees (tying record from 1925).
People keep saying they like SoCal because the weather is nice. Hhmmm . . . Ok. But hey it's a dry heat. :)

Mmm, boy... our air is set to "ice box" if you walk in my house & don't get the chills & goose bumps shortly thereafter it must be broken. It's really the humidity trying to kill us here. We run a high rpm threshold electric meter.

Talked to the wife today. She's in Sitka, Alaska. Temps in low 50's with clouds and fog. She's going kayaking, whale watching and having a shore lunch. Salmon, IIRC. Far cry from the low 90's were experiencing here. Which is a break from the near 100 degree temps we've been having for the last few days.
