Never understood any auto loader for walking off the concrete.
Revolver makes more sense to me.

But whatever floats your boat.

I do like my 10mm autos but if you prefer a revolver then....

It shoots great with 220 gr. WFN's I cast from a LBT mould and loaded with 800X. In the pic you can see the rounds loaded with a NOE 200 gr. WFN that I shoot a lot because it is a 5 cavity and I can make more easier. It shoot great but for some reason the LBT shoots slightly better at distance.

In the PIC L to R:

200 gr. bullet pulled from some older Double tap ammo

LBT 220gr. WFN

200 gr. TC from a Lyman mould - I just lubed the lower lube groove

And here is the NOE 200gr. WFN

Makes sense to me....carry the same piece every day, in pretty much the same way on or off concrete. I have other's to play with but the little 40 S&W with 8 180gr. bullets at something over 950 fps. is pretty decent medicine for what I am likely to encounter. Yep have a 4" 357 and 4 5/8" 45 Colt, but they don't carry as easy. There is a value in familiarity and ease of carry, particularly when I am engaged in other activities.

If I lived and roamed in grizzly country it would be a different matter entirely.

Have a M23 & Colt Cobra that I've carried off/on for 25yrs+

When I stepped off the concrete; SBH .44Mag 5 1/2". But it's been 22yrs since I was able to step off the concrete.

Back during the post Rodney King riots in LA, everyone I knew carried

looks like carnuba red to me. [Lars's stuff AKA white label lube] it need's a heater to flow.
it isn't quite clear enough for magma.

Those 1250-1275 FPS STHP velocities were chrono'ed from my G-20SF in 2017. They lost about 75-100 FPS in the G-29.

I like Blue Dot, AA-7, and AA-9 in the 10mm.

BD is one of my favorites too. 800X can do impressive things but just a pinch too much and you reap some pressures. Longshot and power pistol have been doing good things for me. AA#7 is the quintessential 10mm powder IMHO. :)

What is the red lube, plz ?

Sorry about missing this ?

As Fiver mentioned it is carnuba red from Lars's AKA white label lube. That is an old pic as I coat moat all my bullets now with PC or HiTek. I really liked Lar's carnuba red and used lots of it, still have a nice supply.

I have been using 800X for many years. I load it using a chargemaster since it meters so poorly in a regular volumetric measure. I now load lots of Longshot because it meters so well in my Dillons. AA#7 has been the go to 10mm powder since I started loading and shooting 10mm in the early 90's.

AA-7 gets a lot of use in 30 Mauser/7.62 x 25 and 30 Luger. I finally tried it in the 10mm in 2017 when I got the G-20 and G-29 about 2 months apart. Every bit as good as the Blue Dot. AA-9 is best with the 200 grain bullets, which haven't had much recent usage.

I think AA-9 is what WW-296/H-110 aspires to be one day. I just used it to assemble 100 each of 158 grain JHPs (Nosler) and 125 grain JHPs (Remington) into Starline brass for the 357 Magnums. The last 50 cases will be in the Barnes Condor Cuddlers, to keep Cal-DFW happy.

Our condors aren't even "Gymnogyps Californicus".
They've been crossbred so much with Andean Condors can they really be called California Condors ? And now they've sent them to the Grand Canyon too. Don't recall in my 1969 search of info for a term paper that Condors ever lived near the Grand Canyon.
But then they care more about feral donkeys then about the Native Desert Bighorn Sheep.

Oh, the handwringing and hue and cry, of the Birkenstock shod aged hippie crowd, when it was discovered the arson started Dolan Fire had destroyed a man-made condor habitat. The news was so important and earth-shattering that it made the front page of the local fish-wrapper. It mattered not that at least three families lost their ranches.

For laughs, you ought to see the number of Prius (Prii?) and Suburus with "Friends of the Sea Otter", "Save the Whale", and "Keep Tahoe Blue" bumper stickers plastered all over them.

If I want to see priuses, all I have to do is look next door.
Won't cut down the 50yr old trees in their front yard. So they have a sewer clean out next to their front door. And their water line now goes in on my side of the drive way.
They are really nice folks, too polite to ever bring up politics.
The bleeding heart bumper stickies are all up on the LA West side. Stuck on Range Rovers, M-B, and Lexuses ? or is it Lexi ?

I like the old poster on CB that mentioned if they really wanted to save the Condors they shouldn't drag whales off the beaches. Just let them rot and let the Condors eat them as nature intended.
