Jim, I really don't have an assumption on this issue, because of the factor of Marlin
barrels compared to Win BBls. Most folks have said that Marlin bbls require fat bullets
due to the 8 groove bbls. As I am shooting a 94win, and no marlin experience, I just
don't know.
I will load up some pb 30's, at .309, and try them in the1l00-1200 fps range next
time I go to the range. In the meanwhile, I am now thinking
of trying. .309 in a couple of my bolt action 30's, and not just the 30-30. I do just
know that I will now stick with .309's in my 94 and the Rx7 load.
