Went out yesterday morning to sight in my new red dot and test a couple loads that shot good before. First the pistol. Taurus 627 357mag with a 6.5" barrel. I have not liked Taurus over the years because of the NON-QC they have had. But I have heard over the past couple of years they have got their act together. So I ended up getting this with me knowing it may not be ok. But everything checks out really well. Tight lock up and perfect timing. The barrel is very smooth with no defects. Two cylinders are a hair tighter than the other 5. Did I mention this is a 7 shot?? I like that.
A few weeks ago I ordered a new red dot and mount for this as my eyes are not the best right now. I ordered a Sightron srs-2 that was on sale. And a Weigand Machine Weig-a-tinny mount. This mount is very well made. It went on very easy. Hardest part was finding a punch small enough to get the roll pin out of the pistol.
I shot at 25yds today. Not too bad for just starting off. The bullets were a MP360-640 hp and a MP359-158swcbb
