7mm mold

Just thinking out loud here. I do not own a 7 mm mold. But I've got a couple of 7 mm that are appropriate to cast bullets. What is a desireable bullet in 7 mm. I'd like to be able to hunt with it. I'd like to shoot it in the 730 waters and maybe the 7 mm 08 it does not have to be a flat point, but I think I'd prefer that as a HUNTING Bullet.

I got one of the Midsouth six cavity molds for a "soup can" 135 grain , looks like the Lee design with a flat nose and shot a LOT of them in practiuce in the pictured rifle. I never really considered it as a hunting bullet, felt I needed something heavy, but it would probably work well. It does shoot well.

the rcbs shouldn't be too hard.
Lyman made a real nice 7mm bullet years back, i've been looking for one [but not on E-bay] over the years.
it's a slopie throat shaped little gem for a tighter non Mil-surp throat,, and is probably why they dropped it.

My only 7mm mold is the 135gr. Lee FP (soupcan?) I use it, powder coated, for fireforming 30-30 brass for my 7x30 Waters Contender Carbine and for practice. It is surprisingly accurate with jacketed bullet starting loads. I have never used it for hunting. My hunting loads are either 130gr Speer or 120 gr. Nosler spitzers.

There's one on eBay now, Lee, soup can, Man 90 bucks for two cavity Lee!!! I don't know I can do that that's just crazy!!

I don't see a number listed. Do you have an actual mold number? Because I see a bunch of 130 greens on there but they're not listed as soup cans.

CW, that mold is shown as in stock at Midsouth Shooters Supply. Look in special order mounds, not Lee moulds.

285-7-154 NOE sounds about right .
Im hoping I can find a good load for a Hornady 154 RN.

But tjink its heavier then optimal for my needs. (I normally like heavy for caliber...) Im figuring primarily use in the 7/30 Waters.

Also need order some 7mm Gator Checks...
