Badly Bubbaed Grail Mold

Hey Keith,
We shoot a 401 SLR Winchester. If you get unhappy with the "under size" issue let me know....
I will not be surprised if these drop in the .405 area.
wow, 405 is small. I mentioned in Keith's other grail mold thread where he mentioned looking for a 410426, that I had a sgl cav that not only dropped small (408), it was .002 out of round. I sold it 6 years ago.

As I’ve posted, with powder coating and/or some judicious lapping I’m not too worried right now about the diameter issue. I’m still thinking thru the best processes to restore this puppy. One thing I won’t do is use the alignment pin hole by the damaged cavity anymore. Think I’ll put a pin hole lower down in the block. I may turn some dummy bullets on the lathe to drop in the cavities at either end to be sure the cavities line up and not just the exterior surfaces of the mold.

I saved about 20 sample bullets from the mold I had, you are welcome to some of those, if they'd work for you?
They were cast with an alloy from a big batch of automotive battery terminals, which tested about 16BHN (a bit harder than COWW.)
I measured a few of these 6 yr old bullets, they are .408 by .410 which is a little larger than I wrote in my notes.
