LOL!!!

I was thinking about a 9mm in a 1911. I found a really good deal on one. IT is made by Armscor for a different company. It has some really nice extras already done to it. G10 grips, flared magwell, Ambi safety. 2 mags.

Anyone have a 9mm in a 1911? I shot a friends last week and it really amazed me how accurate it was. His was a Springfield Ronan full size. I am thinking I need another 9mm that isn't plastic.

1911's come/ was designed from go for a perfect caliber... Later a 38 Super was added and thats acceptable. (Only thing I dislike more is a dedicated 9MM SAA...)

Some peoples children just know how ta screw with a perfect setup... Who said EVERY FIREARM must be chambered/offered in 9mm anyhow??? :headbang:

Hope its a good gun for ya TB.

Just one - a Rock Island Armory.

I was curious and suckered in by the stupid cheap price. It shoots flawlessly. I just can't get excited by the cartridge. I got rid of my Glock 19 years ago for the same reason.

I always look for the bushing, and then realize I need to go find a paper clip to disassemble it. Ha ha.

I have a Les Baer Custom Carry II in 9mm. It's great. It is like a laser beam. It is all steel so perceived recoil is very low.

Like the John Browning design SA pistols? Why not get his improved design in 9mm?

The, first of five other 9 mm's......................the other four are all DAO! I know what I prefer.

My relationship with the 9 x 19 caliber is a love/hate arrangement/accomodation--much like marrying into the Borgia family during the Renaissance. That said, one of the most accurate 9mm pistols I have ever fired was a box-stock 1911-pattern Springfield Loaded Model.

I now have a RIA 38 Super/9mm convertible (barrel swap). Two other 9s I have that are very similar to 1911 - Star BM much like a 1911 Commander (love it and sometimes carry) and a Star Super in 9mm Largo.

Already have a HiPower in 9mm. It is an older gun and she is a good gun but not accurate at all. She rattles if you shake her. One of my freinds has the new Springfield hi power and it is very accurate.

One of JMB’s early prototypes was chambered in “41 Rimless Smokeless”…….
So- is it totally wrong for me to kinda want a 1911 in .40 S&W??

I have thought I'd like to have a 1911 that is perfectly scaled for a .40 S&W. It'd be an 88.5% scale 1911.

For a time Springfield Armory made a couple 1911-series variants in 40 S&W, unsure of their status now. Browning made their Hi-Power in 40 S&W as well. Magazines are likely pretty scarce for both of these.
