I assume that your read the directions? The powder only dissolves in polar solvents, not oil based. If you want to use oil based carrier, you must first dissolve it in alcohol (or acetone) and then add it to your oil based carrier.

yeah, i read them, but i like to do it. if you show me how a couple of times, i'll get it and do it. if you give me a manual, well it causes my head to spin. :p

i am an example of "jack of all trades, master of none". i can run backhoe, excavator, articulated dump truck, dump truck, skid steer, roller, build a house, shed, garage, roof, water and sewer mains/service/inside the house, plumber, concrete and whatever. i am good at it, but not great. well i used to be good, dang stroke. :D i've got ALOT of time on my hands!!!

mixed brown and red together, it looks like mahogany. i'll try poly oil/mineral spirits (3:1) and i'll see if that brings out some grain.

i have a 2nd coat put on it........then i forgot about the Old Masters Woodgrain filler natural. i should have put this first. well, i might put the Woodgrain filler on the 2 coats of Antique Oil. then maybe another coat or two of Antique Oil. then i'll finish it up with poly oil/mineral spirits.
