Free Bullets

A very gracious forum member selflessly fulfilled a need of mine. Therefore, I am paying-it-afterward with a previously opened box of Sierra .224" 50-grain spitzer flat base bullets, quantity 101 from the days when an extra bullet was included, product number 1330. The box is the older heavy paper style with metal reinforced corners, and the bullets are no long bright and shiny.
I would appreciate reimbursement of the small flat rate box postage.

That’s a good bullet and I killed lots of woodchucks and quite a few deer as well with it loaded in 22-250. My only gun at the time… I don’t need them, I’d rather see somebody that does need them get em but thanks for the great offer!

That’s a real nice offer.

I’ve just recently started to acquire parts to build an AR next year. I’ve been vacillating on what I want it to be chambered in. .223/5.56 would be the most economical choice. But I sure do own a bunch of 30 cal molds, 300 BO would also be fun.

I wouldn’t feel right claiming these and not having a rifle yet to shoot them out of!

The bullets are yours, sir.

Don't know what I was thinking, no postage reimbursement required. Apologies to all.

ARs don't get me excited, but if If were ever to go that route it would be some other caliber than .223 or 5.56 mm. I have a lifetime supply of .30 caliber jacketed bullets and three or four moulds, so an AR-10 would work. Being a believer in big holes, one of the AR-15 .45 calibers makes sense.

I have a direct gas impingement .45 ACP and a .458 SOCOM, both are excellent and far surpass the feel of a blowback. You need one. :p

I'll take the SOCOM!

As I was leaving my now deceased best friend, reloading mentor and gun buying enabler's Roswell, New Mexico, home, he was going to give me a Mk. 2 Sten. He had lived in California for most of his life, and had an 01 FFL for many decades. He was well aware of California's gun laws, but his offer was still sincere. Nonetheless I appreciated his offer.

Ok my turn to be Santa,

Have no need or desire to develope a 40 grain load for the AR right now. I have enough going on with it. Do not have a bolt 22 center fire.

Sure thing Lamar, will get those out to you monday. I am pretty sure I still have your address in my book. If not I will PM you later. When I got those, I figured someone could use them, if I did not.

Along with some other .223 you had given me well over a hundred of those 63 grain soft points when I first started out. Once I learned their value I have set those aside expressly for hunting.
Now down to about 60, 63. So definitely could use them.
Those things are like they have eyes, in my 1/8 twist 16 inch barrel.
They really do a lot of internal damage, without messing up the Hyde on a yote.
Bet I have taken at least 25 coyotes and a few ground hogs, with your 63's .
Still have the recipe. PPU brass, Winchester primer, 25 grain H335, 2.260 Oal. 1/4 turn on the Lee factory crimp.

Didn't know it was French, but explains why nobody knows how to pronounce it. In fact, I've never heard anyone say it.
