heard there was gonne be a company [that makes steel case ammo now] coming to our shores and primers were gonna be one of the things they'd be releasing to the public.
HMF doesn't seem to be the name i remember though.

Wasn't KVB a descriptive used on Wolf or Tula primers?

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
So is the outfit making Tula opening some sort of outside of Russia factory? I thought Biden put a ban on Russian ammo/guns being imported?

Sometime after one of the great primer shortages, after the hoarders & profiteers stopped clearing wholesalers & retail shelves, primers were placed on clearance & the discounts were great. That is when these were purchased. That being a few frosty mornings ago & my mind being what it is, I'm not sure how many I obtained but there were at least a couple sleeves of 5000. They are long gone, shot up most likely in 38 Special. I don't remember having any trouble with these though reports say others did.

They were Russian made. Notice the label in the first picture which identifies the plant. The second picture is the label on a Wolf primer sleeve. It appears to be the same plant or perhaps both were produced FOR the same plant? The word "Consigner" causing my confusion.
Comments??

i'm guessing kvb is tula?

my wolf SR's have NCSR on them like shown above, but no KVB anywhere on them.
the sleeve [box] 5-K come in, does have the circle with the M in it and a vertical line through the M.
just like the top picture shows.

all my wolves are SR but they are very consistent primers, in a side to side they out shot the federal's i have pretty handily.
my only complaint about them is they won't run through my primer tube filler machines and i have to pick and poke the tubes full by hand..
airc i only paid like a hundred bucks a sleeve delivered for them.

i miss the 'cheap' magtech primers too, i have a couple of large rifle hunting loads for them that are very good.

I think these were 25/K from Powder Valley when Obama was in office. I was low on primers and when they became available I bought a bunch.

I've shot several thousand Wolf and Tula large rifle, and small and large pistol primers. Still have several thousand left. Only one failed to ignite, and I posted a picture of one that had the anvil installed upside down.

Mine have all gone bang. The Dillon doesn‘t like seating them in 45 ACP cases so they go in 44 special and 45 Colt instead. No problems there.

For the right price I would buy more

Yep.

I've mentioned this before, but if Wolf, Tula, Brown Bear and probably other Russian brands of ammunition can be imported and sold, why not primers?

I picked up 5K Tulammo AR SR primers about six years ago and have been through most of them with not a single issue. The anvils sit high so they are a little troublesome in automatic primer feed systems (and they smell terrible), but I really like them.

Are the Russian primers really heavy-metal free? What does that even mean? No lead styphnate?

Dunno. I was guessing lead azide- and/or lead styphnate-free. That part doesn't blow my dress up anyway.
