I walked around in the Birmingham Gun Show today.
About 800 tables.
A pretty good show.

My friend Jason & I were about to leave when we stopped at a small table with some bullet moulds on it.
I spotted a 4 cavity, SAECO # 311, the fellow was asking $34 for the mold.

New in the box and had never been cast with.
I jerked money out of my pocket in about 3 nano seconds and paid the fellow.

We checked Midway for the current price................$177.00

WOW, what a deal !

Just another observation: Up here in the northeast If you go to a gunshow you are overwhelmed with natzi memorobilia I can't say that I have ever seen ( Maybe one) good cast boolit mould!

A good many presses, lube sizers, sizer dies, moulds, etc. at this show.
Hardly any powder.........

Ben, there were two deals for $34. At the same table, I got 1000 gas checks and a new Saeco 2 cavity #307 for $62. Good deals today!!!

Jason,

Yes, you're correct.
Your deals were just as impressive as mine.

Good looking bullet, even better price. Now are you going to have 2 holes get the PB treatment?

Nah, I just know that you wouldn't have a 4 banger that was wasting 2 gas checks! What is the nominal weight of that bullet?

Wow, great buy.

I once got a new 4 cav Lyman 358156 with handles for about 35. That was over a decade ago.

I think it is like killing a trophy deer, you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

Of course, there are other factors, but those two are still VERY IMPT ! !

There's a reason you got such a great deal on that. So you could sell it to me for $44.00 and show a great profit.:D

I don't know Smokey, the box makes it worth at least 45 bucks.

I couldn't stand it. I had to get the new ( to me ) SAECO # 311, 165 gr. , 4 cav. mould clean and cast some with it.

I like the " numbers " a lot on an " as cast bullet " ! !
How will it shoot, who knows ?
One thing for certain, it is a bore rider !

With your naked eye, it is easy to see that the diameter of the bullet is increasing as you head from the tip of the bullet to the lube groove.
