It’s a nice little rifle but…

Biggest issue I had with .433 bullets for my Marlin was the Hornady seater. The sliding sleeve they use was not happy with fat bullets and the bullet got slightly stuck in the sleeve and would be pulled out of the case when lowering the ram.

Made a new sleeve and all is fine. Tried to modify the original one but they are definitely hardened.
Never used a Hornady seater, or anything else made by them. RCBS standard or Cowboy dies, don't balk at fat bullets.

Have used seaters made by Dillion (44 Spl /44 Mag) & Redding (9mm). Won't purchase another Dillon. Redding wouldn't seat my cast bullets deep enough. Had to contact them for a different length/style seating stem....................which they sent free of charge.

This is sounding familiar. I had a Mountain Gun with .433 throats. I couldn't get reguar crimp dies that would accept such a big diameter so I ended up with a LEE collet type crimp dies (NOT FCD). That worked, but I ended up selling the gun out of frustration afterwards. I just wasn't going to let it beat me.

Now, I know lots of great guys with lathes and mills, and such.:)

confused.pngI cast, size (.433) and load that size for three (Marlin, RH & Bulldog) of my four 44 chambered firearms. Wish, I had a Mountain Gun with those generous sized throats. Life would be simple.
