try the jump.
I dunno if you got the harris bullet or not but I do know that the noe design is the same as the one we worked up for the hm-2 molds.
it is a different [and correct] design compared to the lee, and airc the noe has the option of a normal lube groove.

I have taken to thinking of semi-auto rifles and lever guns as pretty much the same as far as ammo requirements are concerned.
you have to take what feeds 100% and then sneak up on the accuracy one step at a time.
you usually end up with a compromise of sorts and quite often the option you think isn't the one you want is the one that works the best.
you may end up using the jump and a slower powder [like 4350] with a Dacron filler to trick it into working
in the smaller case by making it think it has a 100% load density.
it would also allow the bullet to enter the barrel under less stress before being accelerated.
you'd have to adjust your gas timing by the powder amount.
by adding a filler to something like 30-31 you are actually making the powder think it is faster burning
by upping/increasing the initial burn through an initial pressure rise.
it's not surprising your accuracy went out the window in that case, you were mimicking using something like 4198 or rl-7.

One word of advice....... semi-auto's with speed AND accuracy are unlike any other type of firearm you will load for. A semi-auto loading will work very well in a bolt gun, but the converse is not true. Trying for a good static fit will not get you there. The dynamic fit will....... and they not even close to the same.
