Need advice on a lawn mower

Just came back from Power Equipment Plus, the local dealer. Talked to owner for a while, he is a talkative guy. He showed my his stock of Ferris mowers, gave me literature, etc. He put me on list for used mowers/trade-ins. The mowers I looked at were very rugged and heavy duty looking. Most of the riders have full frame suspension and suspension on the seats. When I told him I was building a place to move machine shop I saw him get a glint in his eyes and I recognized the look. Sure enough, his next words were "can you take a look at a something I need done?"

Happens every time, everybody needs to have a friend with a pickup truck or a machine shop. Anyway, what he wants done is fairly simple, putting a few extra holes in an in-stock part to make it the same as a discontinued part, going to do one piece for him and get it back to him Monday. If he likes it we may do a small batch for him, he has other dealers calling him for these parts.

I wonder how many parts we would have to do to trade for a mower...

That could work out well.

"everybody needs to have a pickup truck and a machine shop. "

I'm beginning to think that may be a more accurate way to say it.

Now, you can work on him to get the BIL price on a used machine.

Did he have any insight into durability of Kaw vs Vanguard? Dealers will have
lots of close second hand experience.

Cool.
