Reading tests (I know magazine tests are more than suspect) show it is not alignment critical like the LabRadar. That and the fact that it has rechargeable batteries that last 6 hrs. are huge plusses. It is only 3"x2 3/4"x1" plus a neat little compact tripod lets you pocket the darn thing.
I have had a number of Garmin products, early GPS unit, a later mapping GPS, and a fishfinder. All have worked as advertised and have been very rugged. Even the early GPS unit still functions like new. It must be over 30 yrs old now.
My Pro-Chrony is still functioning halfway decent, but if it ever starts to fail I will be sorely tempted to buy one of those new Garmins. I love not having to monkey around down range setting them up.
