Lol i started this thread about a 311202 mould and wound up with a 311175 from NOE.
Have the mould in hand now, and it's a beautifull 2 cav. 1 gc and 1 pb al.
Can't wait to start casting with it and get into some .30 cal. shooting.

New rifle(Zastava mod 70 .308), new bullet lube(BLL), new bullet mould...life is good!

That's great! Think it will be ready for hunting season?
I hope so. Hope it will like 4350 as much as the whelen does. I would like to find some 2400 local too.
Also have h4895, imr 3031, a bit of unique and 760 on hand. Oh, also have red dot and bullseye.

Where you'd like to keep velocities lower for hunting, I'd go with the H4895 and Dacron filler to try first with the GC version.

You know you want it! (311299) or will someday, any way! Yeah, I'm an enabler.
Found a used noe 311299 for sale so i dove on that one too.
So true to original thread i wound up with a 2 cav. al. gc.

Now to get off my duff and get dies and brass yada yada. I've never been so slow about getting a rifle up and shooting as i have with this one...must be getting old!!

Ben, i did finally get around to casting some noe 315s today. Glad i took your advice on that one. That bullet looks so good it just has to shoot!! The gas check bullets looked great, but the plain base version is screaming to shot.

Think i'm going to like 30 cal. cast shooting just fine lol!

Yes, as soon as you can shoot a 50 yard group with 10 rounds through the center of the bull about the size of a nickle, you'll be hooked.

Lol i may have to bring that rifle to YOU to ever see it shoot like that.

I'm sure going to try though. I've shot a lot of mausers over the years, but for some reason have never owned one. Nor have i ever owned a .308 win.
This should be fun once i get going with it!

I'm real interested to see how that Yugoslav bbl. shoots. Haven't measured anything on it yet, but the rifling sure "looks" good.

All I'd do is teach it bad things..........
Better keep it out of my hands.

Not buying in to that one Ben...i've seen too many pics of your groups for over 2 years now.

I'd bet my money on your shooting any day...but never against it.

Lol i may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night!!

Ok ok ! Let's get some lead down range. No matter what happens at first it will get better, hopefully fast. I am excited for you. Two great bullets and a good platform.

Thanks quicksylver....one more hurdle to go through and we'll be ready.I've got a crack in the bridge in front of the trigger guard to get fixed and it will be good to go.

Work is finally slowing down a bit, so it should be soon.

Got some noe 311299s cast today along with some more noe 311175s. Didn't weigh any but the dia. no.s look great!!

The bands on the 299 gc bullets were a super consistent .3115" and the bullets dropped on their own when opening the mould.

The tapered design 175s in both pb and gc form measured a very consistent
.3125 base
.3105 next band
.3087 "
.3058 "
.3048 top band
.3005 on the nose
All bullets were cast from straight ww for now.
