Powder coating question

I know it isn't about cost. I'm just trying to point out that even $25/pound makes for cheap shooting. Sometimes we can, as casters, be a bunch of cheap buggers. We fail to look at the big picture. If I can coat 10K bullets for 25 bucks that adds 1/4 penny per bullet.

I have never tried PC. I may consider giving it a go if times allows. I'm projected out right now.

not only that but I would have to shoot at least 10-k boolits I have sized and lubed before I could even start on a P/C project.
unless I bought a new mold and wanted to give it a go in one of the super mag revolvers.[which I don't]

I really don't think I would be messing with PC at all except for what it lets me do with suppressors and gas guns with no worries. Since I'm now set up to do it anyway, I go ahead and play with softer rifle alloys than normally would work well and coat .38 target bullets and a few other things just for the heck of it. I was going to try working up a load for .45 Colt with powder coated bullets, but since the only appropriate bevel-base mould I have for it is a Lyman 2-cavity and none of the guns are suppressed, I use my Accurate gang mould that makes perfect flat, sharp bases and regular lube and it works just peachy as it always has.

Coating is too thick. Did that when I started with white. Sometimes it gets scraped off the GC. Try staying below 400f.
