The Ruger P-85

I worked in Ruger's engineering dept. during development of the P85. Not known for its target accuracy but ammo wise it ate anything. A bunch were made for export in .30 Luger. I fired demos of it at the SOF convention in Las Vegas as well as with the Mini Thirty which appeared at the same time.
My P-89 keeps right up with my SIG P-226, in both calibers (30 Luger and 9mm Luger) LOTS of small varmints have fallen to its bark in both calibers. Mine must be a Wednesday gun.

If you cast and size carefully--or use better-grade bullets than bulk FMJs--factory-issue firearms can surprise you with their accuracy. My P-89 is one such pistol.

like Rick i had a Kp-90DC.
it would feed ammo upside down, it also had the same accuracy potential used in either direction.
fortunately it only weighed around 9 lbs. so the portability made up for it.

The Wednesday gun ! I like it !
The old joke about cars, trucks or guns made on a Monday or Friday may be just a joke but there is some merit to that joke.
Not every finished product that comes out of a factory is of equal quality. They might all meet the standards of quality but some just barely meet those standards while others are very good.
