My grandson ( age 9 ) informed me he wanted to go back to the range soon and shoot. I'm in the process of fitting a youth model butt stock on my Handi, 30-30 Win. rifle for him. I got my Lee , 6 cavity, 93 gr. RN mould out this morning and cast with it. The mould makes beautiful bullets and will make a pretty good pile quickly. I sized these to .311" dia. The little bullet carries plenty of lube to the end of the barrel. I shoot 4.0 grs. of B'Eye with this bullet in 30-30 cases. It is very accurate out to 50 yards.
I figure the benefits of this one are :
Ben
These 6 cavity moulds can crank them out ! ! !
My mould blocks say 93, but my scales say LESS...........
Doesn't take very long to make several hundred.
I figure the benefits of this one are :
- Low recoil
- Low muzzle blast
- Cheap to shoot
- Saves lead
