There is something about shooting steel, or other reactive targets, that makes it fun.
I rarely shoot on paper. Lots of steel, cans, bowling pins, whatever.

When I used to put on a yearly 18th century weekend show for a museum I worked at The guys convinced me to add Silo targets to the shooting range which was 35 yards. they proved to me that a pure lead ball from a flintlock will just drop to the ground in front to the steel target! Yes it did but I was always nervous with near misses
