300BLK W/Lee 155 & IMR4227

I was out camping with the wife a couple weeks ago for our 18 year wedding Anniversary. I had some 300blk loads to test. 50 yards was the range, and I was shooting from a lawn chair using a tripod as a front rest. No rear rest. The load shows promise. TNQ brass, CCI SRP, 15gr. IMR4227 under a Lee 155gr sized to .311" with a Hornady GC and lubed with BAC. This same load shot the same way did only slightly larger at 90 yards on a steel plate. Fun plinker!

Nice group but doesn't come close to the part involving the words "camping", "wife", and "18th wedding anniversary" all in the same sentence. Congrats, Walter.

If that Lee 155 gr bullet fits a rifle, you can expect to see groups similar to that over a range of velocities. They designed a real winner...

Yep Josh, Agree on the 155 Lee! It is an ugly looking sort of a pug nosed
appearing bullet, but the durn things seem to shoot in just about any 30
cal case you stuff them in.

Very nice shooting indeed with the rest you described. That load will probably be a ragged one holer from a bench!

Congrats on the anniversary too.
