Finally getting around to shooting cast in my new 300bo..i picked up a single cav mold for the 359,that was all rust and half wore out.i lapped it with clover compound,,and it still looks like hell,but....i shot some really nice groups today with it,but i have to single load them, because the bolt dont pick them up,from the mag.
I have a theory that this oal is so short, that when the bolt hits rim,it nose dives, and allows the bolt to miss the rim.
Ive loaded them as long as i can,,about .050-.060 behind the crimp groove, but this barrel has a wicked tight throat.
I use a dura mag steel 10 round mag.
Is there a mag made that would allow the case to sit a little higher?or some mod i could do,so the nose wouldnt dive?
Thanks
