My friend Jason has a Ruger # 1 that I sold him about 2 years ago.
It has been rebored by JES with 3 groove rifling, 1 -13 Twist.
It is chambered in 35 Whelen, 40 degree, Ack. Improved.
Jason doesn't have any .35 cal. rifle moulds.
Not a problem, he can use mine !
I have a 2 cavity NOE 230 gr. HP mould in .35 cal.
We sized some to .358", installed Hornady gas checks.
Used Ben's Red with a thin single overcoat of BLL.
Jason asked me to fire 5 rounds with the rifle .
The distance was 50 yards.
The load was 13.0 grs. of Alliant Unique.
The NOE 235 HP, sized .358"
Wolf large pistol primers.
The bullets were lightly seated into the lands.
