I made it out to shoot today. Took the CZ 375 H&H to test bullets from the new MP mould. I was not disappointed.
Loads were fired at 50 yards because I was at that range. Loaded were 27.5 and 28.5 gr of 2400 with a healthy amount of Dacron to hold the powder in place. I estimate the velocity in the 1700 fps range.
The top target is the heavier charge. The low shot and the one farthest left were the last 2 fired, they had a different primer. This was because those cases were already primed and I needed two more cases to make 20.
Bullets were cast from a slightly enriched range scrap and water dropped.
The nose is largely blown off on impact with the berm. They do penetrate well. These were reasonably deep. I would have no trouble with this load and alloy for deer hunting.
