Casters,

Its looking like I am going to get a 45 colt pistol, possibly a Ruger RedHawk , and I am trying to find a mold to cast wadcutters. Hollow based are fine, button nosed are ideal. What are your suggestions?

Thanks
Francis

Its not a wadcutter most folks think of. But I picked up this mold when another member bought and showed his. I was instantly in lust!! :p

Its a Arsenal 45-250 FWC

You wait, someone will try to develop a bullet that expands on firing so you get a meplat larger than bore diameter. Of course it hits hard but doesn’t penetrate at all.

Anyone suggest some pet 45 Colt loads for this one? Thanx

PS: And also pet 45 AR loads as well!

.45 Colt; Titegroup - 4.5grs

Bullseye - 3.5grs**

* This is a bit below Book STD, but it works great in My S&W M1917.
** This is a bit more then a starting load, because the 3.0gr starting load is so slow they tear a hole in the paper rather then cut a clean hole.
