Re-assembling my Brittany Spaniel carrier, after loosing the 2014 Rogue...

Ordered a universal fit front seat cover from 4knines. "Proud USA Company" on package, but so is "Made in China"

It goes to show that some folks play word games [IMHO]

Many U.S. "manufacturers" are only marketers, if even that. In my work, I commonly see many identical parts from different "manufacturers" that were all made in the same plant, in the same country. Interestingly, some Asian sourced parts seem to be exported to Mexico, where they are "cleansed" of their country of origin, and marketed to the U.S. as being "Made in Mexico". Vehicular electrical components are really bad for this. If they were made in Mexico, how did they end up with exactly the same flaws, including flaws in the circuit boards, housing castings, and other components?

I traveled in New Zealand a few years ago. There are way more sheep than people in NZ. Wool and lamb are major commodities from New Zealand. I was shopping for souvenirs from NZ to remind me of this trip, you know, memorabilia. So naturally I thought about wool or sheepskin. I found a sheepskin item that fit the bill. Well you know where this story is going, the thing was made in China.

hecto en Malaysia.
That label is meant for the growing Hispanic population that refuses to learn English.

The other week I ordered an item that was advertized as being made in America. Nope, not so. It was made in China and a "Made in USA" label attached and an American flag sticker including in the packaging. The sticker is cool, though.

Don't know the truth of it, but was told that, back in the day, the Japanese founded a city and named it USA.

I remember that well. We we told to buy made in the U.S.A. Rather than, made in the USA .

I remember German company moving production from Mexico to China. Even Taiwan was getting stuff from China.

My grandfather told me about USA (oosa) Japan .

Hecho en Chine is a good one also . I think it was hats made in Sri Lanka . The VFW in Hawthorne Nv bought 2000 assorted USAA , USN , USMC , USAF , WWII/Korea/Vietnam Vet hats all made in Viet Nam embroidered in someplace like Moscow ID or Palistine KS or Ok .... Lotta truck drivers paid $10 for a $3 hat but that VFW kept 50-100 vets social and active in spite of having only 25 active paid members .

Recently bought a hat direct from Ruger with Strum's heraldic red eagle logo -- label inside says made in Vietnam. That's a label that really bothers me.

Well, 4knines sent me a shipping label for UPS... Went to the shipper, they bagged it [original was bagged as well] and it's off to the races....

Laughter through tears, yes, it was [Red] Chinese, BUT 4knines didn't bat an eye cutting an RMA and sending a UPS shipping label.

If it would have been from Veet-nam, or Bangladesh, or some other place not trying to stick a shiv in our back... I found it was funny as heck... 4knines has a page on how they defend their intellectual property through legal action, yet they have products made in [Red] China. What do you think is gonna happen when a [Red] Chinese business shamelessly copies and markets some of their products... and the [Red] Chinese government does... nothing? Ask Segway. The [Red] Chinese fakers made so much, they bought Segway.

As a side note, my son worked for a patent and copywrite lawyer for a couple of years after law school. There was nothing you could do about Chinese infringement as they have never signed any international agreements on patents or copywrites. (Now he is a persecuting attorney and has become a good guy.)
