I built a 1910 Rigby style African plains rifle on a 1903 Springfield action. It has a Green Mountain 1 in 9 twist barrel and chambered for .275 Rigby. Shooting the 175 grain Hornady RN jacketed bullets down to 1450 just fine, cast bullets sub-sonic. FWIW, Ric

Nope I did not know that! Have to look for some.

Bought the last boxes Graf & Sons had, as it was a one time head stamp. No one else on the net had any left, so had to pay top dollar, but that is OK. Thanks for the tip fiver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the only 7MM I have, shoots 175's 2500 f/s with compressed load of surplus 4831 surplus out of its 28 inch barrel. The Lyman 7 MM silhouette bullet at 1600 f/s is as accurate as I can shoot with the standing and leaf sights.

A 1 in 10 twist should shoot the Lyman 160 just fine.

I got 100 of them some time ago and just walked past any others I seen not even thinking about others having an actual 275.
at 40$ for 50 cases I wasn't gonna jump on a huge pile of them.
but the shoulder shape and such is just enough different from the 7 mausers I figured I could make some good 30 XCB brass from them.

Ordered an E R Shaw,SS....24" 7-08 barrel for a Savage.Sporter contour.

Just a touch "safer" than a new Remington,which is good in the $$ dept,but sad in the QC process(taking the risk on new,Remington).

Got a SS short action it can go on.Specs say it's a 9 1/2 twist.Got some more shopping to do with dies and mould.No major hurry.It's my 2017 project.

Appreciate everyone's thoughts on this.Ya'll are what's "right" with the internet on shared data.Going to be a fun and hopefully rewarding/accurate project.BW

My wife shoots a 7mm-08 Rem model 7 top off with a Leupold 2x7 LR scope it's super accurate and she can hit pop cans at 200 yards all day. She shot a nice size doe @ 311 yard's DRT. I like my Remington Mountain rife in .280 Rem it shoots like a Lazer as well.

Barrel came in yesterday....looks good,haven't measured anything.

Used RCBS dies from a guy on 6mm Shooters Forum.Cheap enough.

Changed plans on S.A.,gonna use a SS long action,which has mucho stock work.And is or has been a solid platform.

Got 2 bxs of factory ammo,will pull the bullets,give'm to one of the boys.Won't say how much they cost,yowsa...so,get on midway and they're getting 32.50 for a 100 Hornady Interlocks....took a few minutes to scrape my jaw off the floor,haha.

H-frame shop press with big honkin bronze tapered barrel inserts for making effortless R/R barrel swap.

That Lee regular 130 mould is calling ,"buy me..I'm cheap"....but am gonna stick with,and snag the RCBS 145.BW
