Did paper work yesterday,the freeby(huge tip money) SPS is home.Barely checked it,all good,closed the box and set it on the,"urgent" ....pile.For what good that does?Been enjoying an EDC 308 in the hunting fields (predator).

'bout" the only thing missing is some GC's(Our Josh is the man) that have yet to be ordered....and,I'm gonna make my own sizer die.Talk "stuff" or do stuff...

RB..it's a stainless,24" barrel with 9 1/4" twist.Got the cheapy stock on it.

Am a little excited about the calibre,ordered a RCBS 140g sil mould,and also the Lee 130 not soupcan.But trying to pace it all,haha.Meaning,no hurry...this is my '017 gun/calibre project.Got that Shaw 7-08 brrl installed on a LA 110 Savage and haven't even shot it yet.Have been concentrating on shooting a cheap but extremely nice handling X7 Marlin bolt in 308.

Amongst other things,got the long #25? Harris bi pod on it.I was getting 1 - 1 1/4" groups off buds bags.With the Harris it's opened up a little....@100 yds.CB's only.Haven't chrono'd but it's around 2000 fps.

The twist will probably hold you under 2100 fps on the 7mm , if you buy into that . It's the excuse I use for the 8.5" twisted 06' I have . I have 2 30s that just shut down at 1850 same twist ,different cases, different bbls , different platforms same results .
I've seen a slow twist 7mm bbl that was said to be easier and much faster .

I'll buy into it.Will load right up to where acc starts to drop off and quit.

And the 7mm is going to be tested head to head against some pretty tough competition,in the form of tack driving .30's.In both long and short actions.We have wind here.....not a problem,it's an opportunity thing.

The 6mm's(243) we have are not leaving anything on the table when it comes to accuracy.But,that's in calm conditions.And don't even get the .224's out of the safe with even a breeze.So,enter the .284".If it gives me any advantage in the wind,then..mission accomplished.This isn't about wackin Deer.But EVERYTHING up to that size is fair game,haha.That,and a personal goal? of killing coke cans @150 yds from field positions....not a bunch of heavy BR nonsense.Just a man and his CB gun sort of thing....or...have CB gun,will travel,haha.
