Kenneth,

I'm a fan of the 6.5X55 mm also, I know in Sweden it is popular.

Also a fan! It is popular throughout the Scandinavian countries. It is becoming quite popular in the USA as well. Would sure like one in a #1Ruger!

how do i add you to a list?
i started my shooting "carrer" when i was twelve years old with the 6,5-55.
it is a absolute fantastic cartridge. I didn't think so at the time. I were so small and the recoil was really pounding me.
now after at least fourty years it is a wonderful cartridge. capable at a thousand yards.
my hunting rifle now is a 308 w it is a very good rifle. a rem.700. but somehow i regret i sold my old target rifle i used to hunt with.(an old gun called cg63)

Kenneth,

The 6.5X55 was and still is a wonderfully accurate cartridge.
As to being added to a list, I'm not certain exactly what you're wanting to do ?

Hi Ben,

could you recommend the Plain Base Bullet over the GC ?
I`ve been very interessed in Plain Base Bullets for my 8x57 and 6,5x55

How well did the Loverin Design Bullet perform in your Turkish Mauser in comparsion with the
NOE plain base 327331 RN?

thx for your Info

Klaus,

The NOE , plain base 8 mm 190 RF at .325 shot well out of my Scout Rifle.
See below :

The 326331 long heavy round nose in plain base also shot very well.

The 326331 didn't shoot quite as
good as the 323471 G/C bullet
( It is tops in my Scout Rifle ) .

Both of the plain base 8 mm cast bullets that you see above are certainly worth trying.
The fast powders with the 8 mm plain base , like Bullseye, Red Dot, Amer. Select, International and Unique would be where I'd start.

Not certain if any of those powders are available to you ? ?

Hi Ben, thx for your explanation

i was looking for a Plain Base Bullet to use it in my Commision Rifle 88
but also in the Turk Mauser
I am essentially very happy with the 471 but ..... :)

American Powders are hard to get at present time for unknown reason
But Lovex is a good replacement for Bullseye, Unique or HP 38 i used before.

Do you find any disadvantage regarding the mal Grease groves opposide to the 471 or the Loverin Desing 190 grs ?

No not really, my Scout is very forgiving when it comes to cast bullets.
If they are sized .325", they shoot well.

i will check at NOE for the 326331 PB

seems to be very good round and with the fast Pistol Powder a cheap compromise ...

let you know ...
