i have a 98 mauser(sporteried) in 8x57. the mauser is a 1944 production and it was sporterized with a bishop stock and a redfield peep sight, what year, i do not know. the bishop stock is cracked behind the trigger and the barrel channel is bent to the right. instead of fixing it, the mauser will be placed in a richards micro fit stock, it will be a wolverine left hand shooter/right hand action and grade a fancy in american black walnut. since the original trigger is garbage, i've put on a dayton traister trigger. i also slugged the barrel and it comes out .3235".
i'm no benchrest shooter, but i like to shoot. i hunt, but i'll take the mauser out once in awhile. 4895 and 2400 are my friends, including dacron. what i'd like "to have"
is one mould to do everything.
what i "need"
1. targets include steel, paper, cans......
2. whitetail and black bear under 100 yards
3. gas check
4. 180gr and up
5. fn and rn
6. 10 lead and 1ish tin (yes, i do like my boolits soft)
7. i can do hp with my foster trimmer hp set.
can you help me find my mould?
