Ordered this mold some time ago for my 16" MSR in 458 SOCOM and will be trying some loads this weekend. Last tests seemed to indicate that a 300~320gn cast bullet could be a pleasant yet lethal close range hog hunting combination. We are having problems with feral hogs in our citrus groves as they root out irrigation lines and damage crops and trees.
The mold is a 4-cavity and Tom cut it to drop at 0.457" and after PC'ing they are sized to 0.4585". (I have tried fatter but the tight chamber won't allow for this.)
So far, powders that worked well are 2400, 4759 & RL7 in my rifle with cast. Fortunately I have a good supply of these powders!
