Have a Benjamin 392 (new model) that I want to scope.
Doe anyone know of a good mount for one?
Second has anyone used the NOE 22 cal pellets

I have the NOE .25 cal, .30 cal, and .357 cal pellet molds and have been happy with all of them. Baker Airguns has a nice one piece rail to mount a scope on the Benjamin.

On a .177 RWS-54 springer, I had a early version of the Bushnell Banner Airgun scope like the one linked to below.
Mine was a 1990s version, 3-9x40.
The nice thing was the AO went down to 10 yds.
New, they were about $100.
They are a sleeper on the used market, if you stumble onto one of them, probably find one for around $20.
I don't think the scope is stamped as a Airgun scope, but the giveaway is the AO adjusting down to 10 yd (or maybe labeled 50 feet).

I don't know if they make them anymore? But Pyramydair still has it listed on their website, but says not available.

Which scope would you buy for the Benjamin 392?
Have always been a Leupold man so am unsure of other brands

He will not have a scope problem with the Benji 395 since is is a multi-pump pneumatic. That really applies to springers were you get a fore and aft recoil impulse from the spring/piston launching and stopping.

Like JonB said, Look for a scope that will focus down to 10 yards is always good.

I treat airguns like I do lever rifles and handguns--the ranges involved don't demand glassware, so I don't complicate the equation with such additions. Add on the spring-piston operation of my airguns and their scope-destroying tendencies, fuggetaboutit. But that's me--only about 30% of my rifles wear glasses.

I'm kind of a Luddite. Late in my career, I saw our SWATfolk in the parking lot fussing about with their SMGs and M-4geries. Banter ensued, as you might expect between aged and youthful law officers. I'll spare you the details, but my departing remark was along the line of "I hope you have actual rifles and SMGs under all of those Picatinny rails!" Ah, youth is wasted on the young.

Al, I can't really refute what you just said, but...besides paper targets (which wouldn't require glass), my main use for a pellet rifle is urban tree rats. I like a scope for that use, so I can predictably get head shots.

I can certainly see the utility of rifle scopes for such a use; tree and ground squirrels don't go gently into that good night, and well-placed shots are essential. Most of the dirt rats I whacked at my old place in Cherry Valley fell to the good work of my re-sprung RWS 52 in 25 caliber. 27 grain Beeman Crow Magnums @ 800 FPS did the job well to 35 yards. The CCI Quiets did well too, 40 grain RN at 700 FPS. I filed a flat on the nose and they did an even better job of anchoring pests. They functioned my Ruger 10/22 most of the time, too.

The Baker mount attaches to the reciever. Mac 1 airguns sells a bbl. mount that attaches to the bbl., but can be mounted forward for a scout style or pistol scope, or slid back to the reciever for normal scope mounting on the 397 and 392 air rifles.

I have both bases and like both, but tha Baker mount over the reciever makes pumping in the normal fashion a challenge... I set the butt of the rifle on top of my foot and pump it that way.
With the Mac1 mount forward on the bbl. with a scout or pistol scope, you can pump in the normal fashion.

The Mac 1 base has side bolts and cannot cut the bbl. solder on 39x guns as the bottom of the base does’nt touch the solder joints at all.
The Baker mount attaches with two screws in the top of the mount and is not supposed to put pressure on the solder joints, but could put a bit of upward pull against them? Not sure, but I like both bases.

You can use any scope you choose on your 392 as it is a pneumatic air rifle and does not have the double recoil of a springer.
A parallax adjust scope is a good idea for an air rifle for the relatively close ranges and small targets normally shot at with them.
Also a set parallax scope at 35 yds. Is a good compromise for zero to about 50 yds. ir so if you don’t want the extra weight of the adjustable parallax scope.
UTG has both types at reasonable prices, both airgun rated and non airgun rated. Either will work fine on your 392. Just never put a non airgun rated scope on a springer... begging for trouble then.

I have a FWB124, bought in 1974, has a Busnell Scopechief 2.75 on it, been to the factory once to fix loose lenses (free I might ad), has a rib on the bottom and takes special mounts, but I have been thru 20 cans of pellets, 2 seals and 2 springs and the scope keeps on..finding them used is difficult, because they are usually kept in the family..
