Yeah.......... did Geraldo Rivera get it out of Al Capones vault in 1986? 
How would one establish the provenance of such an item?
The family, (seeking to make as much money as possible) telling me that it was Al's pistol just isn't going to be enough "proof" for me.
At least it is a 1911 frame and not a 1911A1.
