I can resist anything, except temptation, and .35 caliber bullet moulds. Hi, my name is Glen, and I'm a .35-a-holic.
One of my latest acquisitions is this lovely sleek .359-220-FN mould from MP. The HP cavity is of modest depth (I haven't measured it, but would guess it's about .25" deep). Using an alloy that runs BHN of 12, bullets drop from the mould blocks at 213 grains and .359" diameter. I think this just might be the perfect deer/hog bullet for my 10" .357 Hartley Contender (think ".35/.30-30 Ackley Improved"), where I expect to comfortably run it 1500-1600 fps (I can probably run it much faster that, but cast HPs can turn into grenades above about 1600).
Anyway, I thought I would share this because I seem to recall that a few of you also like .35 caliber guns (e.g. .357 Max #1, small ring Mauser .35 Rem, etc.), and might be interested in this bullet. This is going to be a fun project!
